Fire Agate Mineral Specimen
. It measures approximately 10 cm x 8 cm x 6 cm in size (4 x 3-1/4 x 2-1/4 inches) and weighs 15.5 ounces. This piece shows good fire potential in two areas and may produce two good sized gemstones if properly cut. This piece could be carved for it's possible fire agate gemstones or it also makes for a wonderful crystal or gemstone rough mineral specimen display. Photos were taken outdoors in sunlight and indoors under lighting while the specimen was both dry and wet. This piece of fire agate rough originates from Slaughter Mountain, Arizona, which is known for some of the best fire agates in the world, with intense color variations from bright reds and oranges to intense greens, purples and blues.
